I smoke when I’m nervous. I light a cigarette and think. It’s like taking a moment for myself, after a stressful day. A moment to escape the reality. I can take off that mask I wear every day and be vulnerable. When it’s finished, I put on the mask again and face the world with a strength I don’t have.
